Stormcure’s range of liquid applied membranes can faithfully simulate the appearance of a standing seam metal roof utilizing our innovative pre-formed GRP trim details. Stormcure provides a lighter-weight, cost-effective and totally seamless alternative to traditional metal roofing materials without compromising on aesthetics.
Stormcure’s simulated metal finishes are achieved through the installation of Stormcure pre-formed GRP trims which are fixed to the deck / substrate prior to the application of the Stormcure waterproofing membrane.
The trims come in two varieties – lead roll effect and standing seam (for zinc and copper reproductions). Upon completion, the finish is totally seamless without any of the weak points associated with the joints of metal roofs.
We are Class 4 Hail Rated.
Tested to UL 2218 Hail Impact Standards.
Purpose: Measures a roofing product’s resistance to hail damage when used in a pitched roof design.
Method: Steel balls are dropped from specific heights onto the roof sample, simulating hailstone impact.
Evaluation: Product is examined for surface cracking, tearing, or ruptures visible on the underside.
A Class 4Â result is achieved when no damage occurs following the impact of a 2″ steel ball from 20ft. This is the highest rating possible. Installing a Class 4 impact-resistant roof can make you eligible for meaningful discounts on homeowner’s insurance premiums.
