This stunning new build property on the Monaco coastline was built to an extremely high specification. Therefore, the client was after a suited waterproofing system to match the aesthetic for their infinity pool. Stormcure’s Protec FW-25 system was specified, due to its visually pleasing finish. With its quick cure times, the project was completely within a few days, minimizing disruption to this high-end property.
Project Challenges
Following a survey by the Stormcure Authorized Contractor, this new build property needed a high specification waterproofing system, to match the aesthetic of the house, on their impressive infinity pool over looking the Mediterranean sea.
The client wanted to finish with the pool with a specific type of porcelain pool tile, and required a seamless and perfectly smooth waterproofing membrane that could encapsulate the concrete and block structure.
Protec FW-25 system was specified, due to its visually pleasing finish, meeting the clients expectations on their luxury pool. Stormcure Protec FW-25 was the perfect choice for this high performance application, and thanks to it fast curing times, the project was carried out quickly and efficiently, minimizing disruption to the client and their home.
The Stormcure Solution
The concrete was cleaned of construction debris and primed to seal the porosity. The Stormcure Authorized Contractor, specified two reinforced layers of Protec FW-25, creating an extremely tough and durable waterproof base, ideal for the infinity pool. The base layer was then thoroughly sanded to create a perfectly smooth surface, before applying a final second coat.
To achieve the desired finish, porcelain tiles were embedded into a non-cementitious PU based tile adhesive. The aesthetics of the pool were outstanding and the client was delighted with the finished results.
